The Muse

The verb ‘to muse’ means to consider something thoughtfully. As a noun, a ‘muse’ describes a person who is a source of artistic inspiration.  Indeed, at Cramlington we are constantly inspired to develop and perfect our teaching practice, which can be seen as an art form, so if the name fits why not use it?

So what is The Muse? The Muse is a blog that is compiled using the pooled ideas put forward by staff at Cramlington. It encourages teachers to share good practice with one another in the hope that others can implement and cultivate these ideas to improve the teaching and learning in their own classrooms.

The Muse is a vehicle not for change but as a way to remind us that we all have wonderful ideas and if we share these ideas then teaching and learning improvements are nurtured in our school.
